I have been under Dr Shine's care for only two months yet my life has been transformed already. I am a 62 year-old woman with the soul and mindset of a 12 year-old, but my body and mind didn't seem able to keep up--the fearsome "brain fog" and can't-get-off-the-couch-I-just-want-to-drink-wine-after-work tiredness had been slowly creeping into my life and I thought I was doomed (even after having tried numerous supplements and working with an endocrine specialist on my thyroid). My fortunes shifted when a dear friend of mine, who was radiating with health and good vibes, introduced me to Dr Shine and her team of wunderkund staff. From my first consultation with Dr Shine I realized what had been missing from my other experiences with doctors--I felt listened to for the first time: Dr Shine wasn't just intested in my physical ailments but my mental balance too; this is just common sense, that the body and mind affect and work with each other, but I've never had one doctor and one practice be able to address all facets of my well being. This is the difference between Dr Shine's "integrative" medical practice versus the conventional medicine approach. Of course, as the patient, you also have to be willing to do the work--for example, to get all the lab tests performed so Dr Shine can diagnose underlying conditions, and to be willing to communicate needs and goals so Dr Shine can steer you in the right direction. Towards this end, her staff has established an online portal so patients can communicate with Dr Shine and staff in a timely manner. Dr Shine's staff are phenomenal--poised, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, and ACCESSIBLE. There is always someone available to help schedule appointments or recommend treatments. The office is beautiful too--great lighting, pleasant decor, and the staff are always "color-coordinated" for the day (like "Pink Tuesday" and "Purple Thursday", where they all wear the same color scrubs). This tells you there is incredible team work that goes into satisfying Dr Shine's patients. There are still so many treatments that Dr Shine's practice offers that I haven't been able to try yet and look forward to doing so if my body and mind need them! I am so excited about my journey with Dr Shine's practice, and my own life journey. With her hormone treatment therapy, I fall asleep effortlessly (a minor miracle in itself!) and now wake up, feeling energized about the day rather than wanting to stay in bed. I still enjoy drinking wine after work and watching Netflix, but now it's one option among many others now available to me because my energy has increased. After over fifty years of searching, I’ve finally found an incredible doctor—Dr. Shine at Shine Health and Wellness. My very first appointment with her lasted over an hour, which was such a refreshing change from the typical rushed 15-minute visits I was used to. Dr. Shine truly understands women and women’s health. She welcomed my questions with patience and care, and she made sure I fully understood the answers. I’ve now been with Shine for about three months, and I can honestly say they are consistently there for me. A special thank you to the lovely Kim at the front office! Dr. Shine‘s office was recommended to me by my brother-in-law A fellow practitioner. I did expect a wonderful doctor & team. I receive much more. Dr. Shine is very thorough and knowledgeable as well her NP Lauren is awesome! The front office staff and her assistant are equally amazing. I’m confident and feel great upon communicating with them and visiting. With complications that I may go through they’re always here for me with caring energy. If you are pre menopausal, menopausal, need help with maintaining your weight And so much more go see Dr. Shine! You will not regret it. I went to Dr. Kim because I had been having some hormone issues. She was the most caring, knowledgeable doctor that took her time to talk and explain to me about what could be happening with my body. You don’t feel rushed at all, and know she does what she does because she really has a heart to give the best care to anyone who walks through her doors. You will not regret coming to see her for all your needs. I highly recommend her and know why she is in such high demand. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my husband. I can’t express how much and how quickly my life has changed since I started working with Dr. Shine and taking hormones. My hot flashes have vanished, my energy is back to normal, moods are better, and I am sleeping a solid 8 hours a night!! It’s great to know that life in my 50s doesn’t have to be a struggle in those ways. I highly recommend.
